Colin Norris

 

Colin came 2nd in his first ever triathlon (the London triathlon) in 2011. Since that time he has represented Great Britain as an Age Grouper, finishing 3rd in the amateur World Championships in 2013. More recently, he moved up to middle distance racing and finished 3rd in the British Elite Middle Distance Triathlon in August 2014. Colin now races as a Professional at the 70.3 distance.

In 2015 Colin finished on the podium 3 times at the elite level and placed 2nd overall in the Castle Series (the UK’s largest triathlon series).  In the 2016 season Colin finished 2nd at the British Elite Middle Distance Championships, 7th PRO at Staffordshire, 70.3 8th PRO at Weymouth 70.3 and 10th at the Lanzarote 70.3 in September 2016.

Colin is recognised as one of the fastest runners in 70.3 racing having posted a 1.10.48 run split at France 70.3 and finishing 7th in Edinburgh 70.3 with the fastest run of the day beating Andreas Raelert’s run split by 5 seconds. 

Did you know?

Prior to triathlon Colin was a middle – long distance runner and his claim to fame is finishing 2nd to Mo Farah on a couple of occasions.
