Martijn Dekker

Martijn Dekker began his sporting career as a contest swimmer were he reached several podium spots at national Championships. “At the age of 16 I started with triathlon and two years later I made the full transition to triathlon.” Here he achieved Dutch titles on the sprint and ½ triathlon aswell at the junior stage as at the elite stage.

His goal for 2017? Winning the Dutch title at the ½ triathlon and winning the Ironman in Maastricht. The main thing he needs to do for reaching this goal? “I especially need to improve my cycling and running.”
